Shipping & Delivery

Once processed, your order will be shipped out and arrive at your designated shipping destination according to the delivery method you selected when you placed your order. Also upon shipping, you will receive an email containing your tracking number.

Your shipping and delivery options for in-stock items include the following:

  1. Standard Secure Shipping: Standard shipping orders, currently available for delivery within the East African countries only will arrive two to three business days* after being shipped from SONARA BUDHA Jewelers. Charges will be determined at checkout depending on the destination.
  2. SONARA BUDHA In-Store Pick up: Simply choose your nearest SONARA BUDHA store location and allow 2 days* for the order to be sent to the store and ready for you to pick up. Once your order has arrived at the store you have selected, you will receive an email confirming that it is ready for pickup. There is no charge for in-store pickups.

*Delivery times listed in this section do not include order processing time.  For a total estimated delivery time, add the shipping time and the order processing time. For a list of order processing times, please refer to the section titled Order Processing.

Shipping to an Alternate or Non-Billing Address

For gift givers who want to surprise their loved ones with a gift from SONARA BUDHA: we want to help you maintain the surprise and get your gift where you need it when you need it. We can ship your gift via Standard shipping to get it there quickly for a fast-upcoming special occasion, or we can work with you to get your order shipped to your work or other location that is not your home billing address to help you maintain your surprise. You could also have your item delivered to a SONARA BUDHA Jewelers store near you for convenient pick-up.
If you will not be home to sign for your order, SONARA BUDHA can ship your order to your place of work, or another more convenient destination. Here are your options:

Taxes and Duties

All taxes, customs duties or other government charges outside Kenya, if applicable will be payable by you, the orderer at the time of delivery and these charges have not been included in the prices set by SONARA BUDHA in their catalogue or upon checkout.  All the prices automatically include a 16% VAT for all shipments destined to be delivered within Kenya or in-store pickups and no other duties or taxes will be payable on items delivered within Kenya.

What Information Does SONARA BUDHA Collect?

SONARA BUDHA collects information you provide to us to serve your needs. For example, if you place an order, or simply register on our site, you will provide to us your name, address, email address, and phone number. Of course, if you are placing an order, you will need to know the product(s) you wish to purchase.

SONARA BUDHA DOES NOT collect any information regarding your credit card through the website or through emails.

All the information pertaining your credit card or Mobile money transfer will be collected by JamboPay as an online payment gateway that allows users to securely make and receive payments over the internet.

SONARA BUDHA also collects information you voluntarily submit when participating in one of our various services, promotions, programs or surveys. From your transactions and other interactions with us, we obtain information concerning the specific products or services you purchase or use.

SONARA BUDHA is a highly ethical company and requires the highest standard of conduct from our employees and business partners. Once you have unsubscribed, you will be removed from receiving future email solicitations, apart from those that have already been processed before this request was received. Note that unsubscribing from promotional emails will not affect your receipt of order status emails which will still be provided to you after purchasing online at SONARABUDHA.com.

SONARA BUDHA Jewelers does not handle any of your credit card payments ONLINE and will not ask for your credit card details at any time because all our ONLINE credit card payments are being handled by JamboPay, a payment gateway that allows users to securely make and receive payments over the internet.

Returns & Replacements

For items purchased in a SONARA BUDHA store, please refer to your printed receipt as the return policy may vary based on the item(s) purchased as well as the specific retail location. If you are unable to locate a copy of your receipt, you may contact the customer support for more information.

For items purchased on SONARABUDHA.com, returns are accepted within 10 days and exchanges within 30 days of the delivery date. Merchandise must be in new unused condition. All returns require the original sales receipt or packing list, or a copy. Returns will be credited in the original form of payment. For your convenience, most purchases can also be returned at any SONARA BUDHA store location. Taxes, shipping charges and any other charges are not included in determining the value of your item.

How to Return or Exchange a SONARABUDHA.com Purchase via Mail

When you receive your purchase from SONARA BUDHA, examine it carefully. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, call our online order center (254) 41 2224357 Monday – Saturday 10am-6pm EAT or email us at support@sonarabudha.com. The returned item should be insured for its full value. SONARA BUDHA Jewelers is not responsible for returned merchandise lost or damaged in transit. Shipping charges will also not be the responsibility of SONARA BUDHA Jewelers and all shipping and insurance charges while returning the goods would be taken care of by you. Upon receipt of your order, with all the required information and materials, we will either ship a replacement or credit the original purchase in the form of the original payment, based on your request (Please specify in your return package). Credit processing will occur as soon as possible, usually within 3-5 business days of the receipt of merchandise. Original shipping charges will be refunded only if we have sent the wrong item or if the item is defective. Returns must be sent to:

How to Return or Exchange a SONARABUDHA.com Purchase to a Store

For your convenience, most SONARABUDHA.com purchases can also be returned or exchanged at any of our store locations. To return or exchange an item at a SONARA BUDHA store, simply bring it in along with the original packaging and paperwork, and one of our expert associates will be happy to assist you.

Order Cancellation

If you’d like to cancel or change an unprocessed catalog or web site order for any reason, please call (254) 41 2224357 Monday – Saturday 10am-6pm EAT, as soon as possible or email us at support@sonarabudha.com. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate your request.

If your order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled. But you may simply return the order according to our return policy.

SONARA BUDHA Diamond Trade-In Policy

The SONARA BUDHA diamond trade-in policy allows a customer to trade any diamond jewelry towards another diamond purchase provided the customer has either the original diamond warranty or the original sales receipt.  The original diamond jewelry must not be chipped, cracked, or damaged in any way. Taxes and other charges are not included in determining the trade-in value of your original diamond jewelry.

Ordering Online

You can order any of our products by selecting it from our catalogue database and add it to your shopping cart. You can then add more products to your shopping cart or simply checkout.

Ordering Offline

We have an option of creating orders on your behalf and you will still be able to view your orders when logged in. Your orders will be created upon personal interviewing of your interests and communication between our experienced staff and you, either by email or in person at any one of our stores. We are in the process of implementing all in-store order statuses to be viewable by you automatically. Please inform us if you would like to use this service at the moment so that we can update your account with as accordingly.

Creating an account

We recommend that you create an account with us. To create an account, simply go to our login page and click on ‘CREATE AN ACCOUNT’ and then fill in your information. Alternatively we can also create an account for you. By creating an account with our store, you will be able to do the following:

  • Proceed through checkout faster when making a purchase
  • Check the status of orders
  • View past orders

  • Store alternative addresses (for shipping to multiple family members and friends!)

Viewing Orders

To view your orders simply log into your account and you will be able to view all your orders under ‘My Orders’ in your account. You can also print your invoices if your payment has gone through and the item has been invoiced. You will be notified by email all updates on your order and its status and you can check your order status when logged into your account.

Order Processing

Once we receive your order, we will ship the item within two working days if no adjustments are required. In case any size adjustment is required, your item will be resized and shipped within 7 working days. Some items may not be available in stock and the processing time usually takes between 10 to 14 working days. If the order takes more than 14 days processing time for any reason, you will be notified by email. Please contact us if you do not receive any emails regarding your orders.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

Online Payments

All our online transactions made by our customers are dealt by JamboPay as an online payment gateway that allows users to securely make and receive payments over the internet. JamboPay is authorized by SONARA BUDHA Jewelers to accept Internet payments via credit card or Mobile money transfers and providing a secure link between our website, you and the JamboPay’s website. Cash Payments

You can pay in cash upon placing your orders. Cash payments are only payable at any one of our stores and subject to 16% VAT. No duties or any other taxes will be payable for items destined within Kenya.  If you leave abroad, we recommend that you pay online as there would be no VAT payable by you in Kenya and the item will be shipped as an export from Kenya.

Credit Card Payments (in-store)

You can pay us directly using your credit card upon placing your orders. Credit card payments are only payable at any one of our stores and subject to 16% VAT. No duties or any other taxes will be payable for items destined within Kenya.  If you leave abroad, we recommend that you pay online as there would be no VAT payable by you in Kenya and the item will be shipped as an export from Kenya.

Pricing Policy

Should any pricing or copy errors occur on this website, we reserve the right to correct. We strive to maintain an accurate price representation for all products represented herein. Price discrepancies, as the result of technical or human error, will not be honored. We reserve the right to change any price depending on the bullion market and foreign currency exchange rates. Prices for items which need to be processed are based on estimates on previously sold items. Final product may have a reasonable change in price and we will email you the price increase or decrease, if any, once the product is ready. We will also email you that your order is being processed and how much time it may take for processing. For any reason you are not satisfied with the price change please contact us immediately or reply to the mails sent to you and mention how you would like it to be done. Our staff will be happy to assist you wherever possible.


At times, SONARA BUDHA Jewelers offers promotions such as sale on clearance stock and discounts on featured products. If you feel the need to negotiate the pricing for any of our listed products which are not featured as discounted please contact us. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate your request. Negotiation requests will be carried out for registered customers only.
